PA for big bands
Hi. I'm new here so let me introduce myself. I'm Ole from Norway, and play the piano in a big band. | We are thinking of buying a PA for our concerts. Venues for 200-250 people would be what we usually play for, but have some playroom to fill larger venues would be good. | Could someone point me in the direction of which speakers, monitors, mixers, microphones, etc we need? | We'd like to buy used, so no need for the latest models.

Switch In Time by Sammy Nestico
Dear all, I am posting my message from Japan. Let me introduce my self. I am an amateur sax payer but also coaching high school jazz big band club. | As one of their re-partly, they often play Sammy Nestico's "Switch In Time". and I am looking for a publisher of the score for professional / original recording take. The score they have is one of the horrible them. The articulations of each sections are not uniform, and as it has been transcribed by amateur in old days, there are some mis-notes and not readable bars on some of the sheets. Could you let me know the publisher of the score in order to purchase? I have the one published by KENDOR Music, but it is slightly far from what I need. | | Best Regards, | | Tetsuya Fukuhara | |

Amateur big band festivals in Europe, US
Hello, | | I have just created a page on this site for my big band - Carmel Big Band from Israel. | | The band exists since 2009 and is now looking to attend an international festival - preferably an amateur jazz band festival. | | Do you know of any such festivals? | | Much appreciated! | | Thank you | | Doron Sieradzki, Carmel Big Band

Looking for arranger for Romanian folk song
I'm looking for an arranger to arrange a melody from a Romanian folk song for Big Band. Does anyone have a recommendation? The budget is unfortunately limited. Greetings from Vancouver.
